Dear Woodinville Neighbors,
Thank you for your continued support and advocacy for the preservation of the R-1 areas of greater Woodinville. Your vigilance and financial support have helped maintain peaceful, safe neighborhoods for ourselves and the next generation of children walk, jog, run, and play -- and for wildlife to be part of our community. We thank YOU for continuing to talk to your neighbors about these efforts.
Concerned Neighbors of Wellington (CNW))The Concerned Neighbors of Wellington (CNW) continues to be involved in the mediation meetings with Wood Trails, LLC and the City of Woodinville. CNW is incurring legal fees to engage in mitigating a solution which protects the Wood Trails area from sewer and over-development. We need funds to support this effort. Will you please consider writing a check to CNW this week to help pay the legal expenses?
Background: Following Woodinville City Council’s approval of Ordinance 532 (which establishes minimum lot sizes throughout the city), the developer of Wood Trails filed an appeal with the Growth Management Board (GMA) appealing Ordinance 532. The City Council responded and voted to allocate funds to pay their land use attorney to defend this appeal to GMA. The City and Wood Trails have been required to first mediate the situation and CNW has formally joined the mediation.

Meeting: Monday, Feb 25 -- Neighbors to Save Wellington Park (NSWP)
A community meeting is being held Monday, February 25 to inform citizens of the status of this proposed Snohomish County Park. With your help, this park could remain open, tree-filled and peaceful – not a 700-parking spot set of lots with artificial turf sports fields, and an over-built development with overcrowded traffic on narrow, congested streets, noise and light pollution from early morning to 11pm, and a regional eyesore. Get informed, be involved, and help preserve Wellington Park! The invite is below and enclosed for your convenience.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support! We appreciate your financial help at this time as well.
In your service, protecting the R-1 zoned neighborhoods,
Your CNW Board
